twinkle twinkle

Lately I haven't been too occupied with doing my nails. For one thing, I didn't take any of my nail polishes with me from Finland. However, last week I got these two lil' bottles; Peach Melba and Gold Glitter. They're my first Barry M's, and I'm really pleased with the result. Stays nice-looking for a relatively long time, which is always a good thing! If I wasn't a poor student, I could see my money going into more pretty nail polishes, but these two shall suffice. For now.

rain, rain, go away

Top - Gift from France
Scarf - Grandma's old
Jeans - Vero Moda
Socks - Halpa-Halli
Boots - 2nd hand
Earring - H&M

I've finally dug out my raincoat and even started carrying bus money with me, so in case of rain I don't have to walk and look like a sad, wet rat. I'll be very grateful if the rest of the week will be dryer. I actually like walking in rain (and sometimes singing..). But not when I'm going somewhere, and not when it's absolutely pouring. As you can see, I have nothing to talk about, hence the small talk about weather, haha! Catch you later!

blue & silver

Dress - Vintage
Bracelet - Dior/Gift
Earrings - Seppälä

G'morning, all you lovelies!

I was going to pop into the shop and run some errands &c, but it's slightly raining which made me change my plans. Or, at least, postpone them for a wee while. Also, our halls are getting inspected tomorrow and I (well, we) need to make sure every place will look all neat and tidy. So that's my exciting plans for today!

This blue ensemble is from earlier this week. Most of the time I am wearing a similar outfit; tights or leggings and a chunky dress or jumper. Such a lazy way of dressing up, but I think it happens to me every autumn/winter.

religious pieces

Crucifix necklace - Gift

Bandeau - Ginatricot
Top - Primark (New)

Bracelet - New look

Ring - Urban Outfitters

This irregular posting is starting to be more of a norm, and I still am sorry about that! Anyhow, soon it'll be the end of the term and (maybe) I'll get my schedule sorted out in every possible way. These days I mostly go to uni, watch TV or movies, sleep, eat and occasionally go out. And, obviously, complain about not having time for anything.. Nonetheless, here's some pieces I was wearing a couple of days ago. I'm pretty pleased with my growing religious jewellery collection. I don't consciously look for religious symbols or such, but they are very pretty! I actually own at least three cross necklaces (of which two are gifts I got on my confirmation).

Hope your week has begun amazingly♥!

croissants, cannibalism and the sorts

Top - H&M
Shorts - Primark (New)
Scarf - Grandma's old
Shoes - New look

Going to the shop to buy a breakfast croissant is a good way to start a day. And for me the only proper way to eat croissants, is to have them with butter and apricot jam! Though, sometimes I change to orange marmalade. Afterwards, I've been having a basic day off with lots of uni work to get done. I never realized studying would keep me this busy, and I can assure you that there's a lot of reading for history. Listening to movie soundtracks while reading, making notes and writing essays makes it much nicer though. And I can't complain, there's some interesting things to read about. And appalling things as well.. Cannibalism during the First Crusade, anyone?

On another note, I bought these shorts yesterday, as I noticed I have no shorts here with me. Loving these, but getting them on can get a wee bit tricky. My flatmate actually had to offer help zipping the shorts when I came from the toilet, as the zipper at the back got stuck. Can imagine embarrassing moments in the future, if I have to ask strangers in public toilets to help me dress myself, haha! And I got a nice surprise from mama in the mail: some dishes, Finnish sweets, and some clothing. In a way I got these shorts in vain, as in the parcel there was two of my old shorts!

this friday...

...I had a bagel for lunch. These past two weeks I've been eating a lot of bagels, there's so many different fillings to try. I've only tried baking the actual bagels once, but may start doing that more often! This is a bought one, with soft cheese, tomatoes and pepper between.

...I've watched too many episodes of Frasier.

...wore my bug ring for the first time:-) I ordered it before coming to the UK, but haven't had the chance to show it before.

...I made these origami boxes as a temporary solution for storing jewellery. They're quite nice-looking, so I might actually end up keeping them!

Have a very happy weekend, all you lovelies♥!

bonfires & fireworks

Shirt - H&M
Blazer & Scarf - Grandma's old
Leggings - Primark
Shoes - New look

I look slightly like a man in these pictures, but don't we all sometimes. (Don't we?) There's two kinds of lassies I really don't like: the ones who wear leggingses as pants and the ones who keep their phone in their bra. And now I have become (almost) one of both! This shirt mostly covers my rear end, but still. I did feel a bit naked whilst walking to uni, all the same, I have to admit it is a comfortable and easy outfit. Can't decide if it's socially acceptable or not! Keeping your phone in your bra, on the other hand, is not socially acceptable. Seriously, I don't know what that's about. Get a bag or clothes with pockets! I did cave in the other night.. I didn't have any pockets or a bag, so I had my keys inside my bra when I went to watch a movie in a flat at a block across mine. Later I noticed I got a rash from the metal, so I will never be doing that again!

Hope you all had a special Halloween, and are looking forward to Bonfire night tonight! I didn't do anything for the former, so tonight I'll probably be going out:-) Should be fun; have a lovely day, you all♥!
